GENERAL
Q. Explain The Summit
A: The Summit is the NEW definitive all levels national championship. Four years ago,
Varsity was inspired by the talent within the All Star industry and listened to its customers
when they asked for a high caliber event that recognized teams in non-world divisions.
While the International All Levels Championship was highly successful, we realized these
extraordinary teams needed to be showcased on a grandeur level. For the 2013 season,
Varsity All Star is committed to producing an innovative, prestigious, competitive &
unforgettable end-of-the-year all levels experience.
Q: Where will The Summit be taking place?
A: The Summit is a LIVE competition where teams will face-off, May 4-5, 2013, at the Walt
Disney World Resort® in Orlando, FL.
Q: How do I receive a bid to The Summit?
A: We are awarding 107 paid bids and 355 at-large bids at 27 of our premier events
across the country. A complete listing of these events can be found on
www.varsityallstar.com/thesummit.
Q: How will the bid distribution process work?
A: Bids to The Summit, both Paid and At-Large, shall be awarded at the sole discretion of
each Varsity Brand Event Producer. While the following guidelines must be taken in to
consideration, ultimately Brands may award bids to whomever they choose.
1. Generally, bids will be awarded to First Place teams.
2. Bids will be awarded evenly, to the extent possible, across levels.
Ex: An event with 3 paid bids is encouraged not to award two paid bids in the same
level.
A non-binding verbal commitment will be requested from each team within 48 hours of
receiving their bid. Teams have 14 days to accept their Bid. Teams accepting an At-Large
Bid, must pay a non-refundable deposit of $1000 per bid to secure their spot at The
Summit. After 14 days unclaimed bids will be passed down to another team from the same
event.
Teams holding an At-Large Bid may be upgraded to a Paid Bid and any deposits that have
been made will be refunded. The At-Large Bid will then be released and passed down.
