Setting Up Email on Your iPad And iPhone

Below is a step-by-step tutorial for configuring your iPad. Click on an image thumbnail to see it larger.
Step 1
On the iPad, go to the Home screen and open Settings.
Open Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Open Add Account then select Other.
Step 2
Select Add Mail Account.
Step 3
In the New Account screen, enter the following information:
Name: Your full Name
Address: Your full email address ([email protected])
Password: Password
Description: You may change this description to whatever you prefer; for example, Work Email
Select Next.
Step 4
In this screen, make sure that the server type selected at the top is IMAP, rather than POP, and that the name
and address are listed properly.
Step 5
Under Incoming Mail Server, please enter the following information:
Host Name: Enter imap.atmc.net
User Name: Your full email address ([email protected])
Password: Your password.
Under Outgoing Mail Server, enter:
Host Name: Enter smtpauth.atmc.net
User Name: Your full email address ([email protected]).
Password: Your password.
Note that the Password field in Outgoing Mail Server is marked as "Optional". For this mail setup,
PASSWORD IS REQUIRED.
When you click Next, the iPad will attempt to connect to the server, and will fail with an error message:
"Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?"
Click Yes, then Next. You may be prompted to do this again, if so click Yes, again. The iPad will display a
message: "This account may not be able to send or receive emails. Are you sure you want to save? Click
Save.
Step 6
Select the Next button at the top of the screen.
With the Mail switch turned ON, press the Save button at the top of the screen.
Step 7
Select your newly-created email account, tap on Account, scroll to the bottom of the screen, and then tap
Advanced. Make sure your settings match those below. To edit a setting, tap it and select an alternate setting
or enter the appropriate information.
Incoming Settings:
Use SSL: OFF
Authentication: Password
Server Port: 143
Step 8
On the top-left, tap Account to go back to the previous screen, and then tap SMTP under "Outgoing Mail
Server".
Step 9
Tap on smtpauth.atmc.net under "Primary Server".
Step 10
Make sure that your settings match the settings below.
Outgoing Mail Server:
Host Name: Enter smtpauth.atmc.net
User Name: Your full email address ([email protected])
Password: Your password.
Use SSL: OFF
Authentication: Password
Server Port: 587
Note that the Password field in Outgoing Mail Server is marked as "Optional". For this mail setup,
PASSWORD IS REQUIRED.
