EXTREME COMFORT FOR HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS
Working in a hazardous area doesn’t always mean giving up comfort. The RedBilt Class 1, Division 2, Wall-Mount Heating, Ventilation, and
Air Conditioning (HVAC) unit from RedGuard starts with a standard wall-mount Bard HVAC. Extensive modifications to the exterior
condenser section, which is exposed to outside air, are made to create a comfort system that is safe to use for areas classified as Class 1,
Division 2, Groups A/B/C/D, T3. The parts not exposed to outside air, such as the evaporator section and controls, remain unaltered, for
general purpose.
A pressurization system and a fresh air stack are not included, but can be added at customer request.

REMOTE MOUNTED CONTROL PANEL
SHIELDED AND INSULATED WIRING
Controls can be mounted in an area convenient for
the user, and the temperature and humidity sensor
can be located remotely for the best temperature
reading throughout the shelter or building.
All wiring in our RedBilt systems are shielded and
insulated. This provides extreme protection in
uncommon, hazardous locations.
REDGUARD’S REDBILT DIVISION MAKES THE FOLLOWING MODIFICATIONS TO EACH UNIT:
• Mount control panel remotely
• Install non-sparking fan blade, if not already equipped
• Seal the unit completely from any outside air leaks
• Upgrade terminal block
• Shield or insulate all wiring
• Install lock-out switch for 24V power to HVAC controls.
• Install hermetically sealed thermostat on the condenser motor
