The Gambia
Donations
We have an exciting update on
our Gambian teacher friends.
All being well we are hoping to
welcome them for a visit in
February. The five Gambian
teachers will be visiting school
to work on an exciting joint
schools project around shared
reading. They will be joining us
for stories, singing and
hopefully some drumming and
dancing! Their visit brings to
life global learning for our
children and gives them an
experience that is truly
unforgettable. I’m sure the
Junior pupils can still recall the
amazing
drumming
and
Year42 years
choir ago, it
dancing from
gives me goose bumps just
thinking about it. The children
will be able to meet the
teachers whose children and
schools benefit from all the
fundraising they have done.
Miss Phipps our International
Schools leader will be
coordinating the visit so watch
out for the next Gambia
Newsletter.
Friday was a fantastic day in
school!
Everyone
enjoyed
dressing as their favourite
superhero. I think I spotted Messi
in assembly and Harry Potter!
Thank you for all of your
generous donations. We raised
an amazing £147.38
With Katie from Class 6 giving £5
of her own money.
