LIVINGSTON HIGH SCHOOL
Yvonne J. Phillips-Dupree
PRESENTS
Phillips-Dupree is a veteran of education who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
from Howard University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from UCLA with a
concentration in acting. She is currently semi-retired from the Houston Independent School District after having dedicated many years of tireless service.
Previously, she taught theater arts at Ross Sterling Senior High School for 17
years and competed at the U.I.L. One Act Play State Meet five times. She has
directed professionally at the Encore Theater, the Ensemble Theatre and the
Fade to Black Theater Festival in Houston, Texas. She is the current President
of the Board of Directors of the Fade to Black Festival.
Phillip Taylor
Taylor has a Master of Arts in Theatre Education from the University of Houston and a BS from The University of Texas at Austin. As a director, he advanced to the UIL One-Act Play State Meet in 2011, 2012, 2013, & 2015 winning the State Championships in 2012 and 2013. He taught high school and middle school in conferences 2A, 3A, and 4A (new 5A). He sponsored several other
UIL Academic Events and coached students to the State Meet in Prose, Poetry,
Persuasive Speaking, CX Debate, and the Barbara Jordan Historical Essay Competition. He has conducted various theatre/speech workshops and OAP clinics
for middle school and high school programs around the state. He also served as a
TAPPS One-Act Play Regional & State Judge. He is an active member of TETA
and has served on the convention staff in previous years. Currently, as the Coordinator of Fine Arts for Fort Bend ISD, he oversees various fine arts programs
and initiatives on 45 campuses.
Andra McLarty
McLarty received her B.A. in Theatre (with an emphasis in acting and directing)
from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She also completed Master of
Science degrees in both Theatre and Speech at East Texas State University (now
Texas A&M-Commerce.) For over twenty-five years, Andra has taught several
speech and introductory theatre courses at the college level. She has participated
in educational and repertory theatre as an actor, designer and/or techie. Andra
has also fabricated and constructed costume plots for a variety of productions at
several venues, including the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, Dallas Pocket
Sandwich Theatre, Angelina College, Angelina Playhouse, Angelina Arts Alliance, and Wharton County Junior College. Andra has enjoyed working with
OAP by adjudicating competitions at the Zone, District and Area levels.

today’s District 22-AAAAA One-Act Play contest include:
* Food and drinks are not allowed in the theatre.
* International copyright laws strictly forbid the use of any recording devices
or cameras.
* All electronic devices and cellular phones must be turned off.
* Only authorized company members and contest staff are permitted beyond
the security table.
* No entering or exiting the theatre once a production begins.
