French Immersion Information
Night @ 6:30pm in the CHE Library
Parents, it has come to our attention that after school pick up
has been getting busier due to the number of vehicles parking in
the drop-off zone. This is a reminder for parents to please park
either on the hill or down the hill when picking up your children.
Please do not park or idle your vehicle in the drop-off zone which
is located at the front of the school. This will significantly reduce
the amount of traffic at the end of school and make it a safer
area for our students. Thank you!

Students wishing to attend a school other than the school in their catchment area are required
to use the transfer process. This includes grade 7 students who wish to attend a different high
school than College Heights Secondary School in September, 2017. This process begins at 9:00
a.m. on Feb. 8th, 2017 and ends at 3:00 p.m. on Mar 3rd. An online link will be established and
advertised prior to the beginning of the transfer period, on the school district website:
www.sd57.bc.ca. Applications may also be made in person at the general office of any district
school. A time and date is automatically assigned to each application received. Applications
will be considered in order of receipt. Note that an application made in person does not take
effect until the school enters it in the online system.
Parents will be notified before the end of March if their child has been accepted at the new
school. Students will be accommodated if space is available and according to the procedures
in the transfer policy (Policy 5119). Students who transfer schools will be required to remain
at the new school for a minimum period of one year and will be required to use the transfer
policy to return to their previous school or attend a different school. Parents or guardians of
students attending a non-catchment area school are required to provide transportation to and
from school. Please note that Grade 7 Immersion students will be transitioned to Duchess Park.
