Learning occurs when people interact and share ideas. Interaction occurs naturally because the construction promotes intimate discussion and serves as a tool to converse. Just put the Salsa in a
public space and add some books or technology on the tabletops and you’ll soon see that people are going to be interactive in a funny way! It gives you the opportunity to stay alone or to easily share
the moment.
The innovative design of the Belgian designer Bram Boo is now
also available with four integrated iPads. Because of its shape and
the combination of chair and work surface, the SALSA promotes
spontanious interaction and exchange of knowledge.
Working alone or working in a group SALSA supports all. Interactivity
is placed central with this design. VANERUM fuses technology and
designt together into one show stopping piece of furniture that
easily becomes the center of communication.
As an independent designer, Bram Boo designs innovative furniture
for micro -and mass production. He breaks the everyday rules and
tries to get new ideas and emotions out of simplicity, functionality
and aesthetical value.

As an independent designer, Bram Boo
creates surprising things for micro and mass
production. By disturbing the usual rules, he
aspires to create new ideas and emotions, with
a focus on simplicity, function and aesthetic
values. The result of this connecting theme
leads to ambiguous things to reconsider daily
habits. His designs are functionally enriched
and therefore aesthetically and emotionally
surprising.
This design was created by blending the
elements of socialization, rest, and work into
one function. Bram Boo fosters a collaborative
environment by pos tioning four seats in a
central fashion. The idea came by thinking
on a piece of furniture that provides the
opportunity to socialize, rest or work.

About the designer
The Salsa consists of five separate parts that
need to be assembled. This makes Salsa easy
to disassemble and move. When an anti-theft
solution is required, the Salsa can also be
embedded in the floor.

Four iPad1 models can be integrated in the top
of the Salsa furniture. Users can interactively
search for information and share it with each
other.
The iPad devices are not supplied with this model.
Aluminum is a areat metal for innovative
applications. Aluminum has a low specific
gravity and good strength properties. The
metal is corrosion-resistant, durable, and has
good conductivity and good machinability. The
great freedom makes aluminum very suitable
for decorative applications and diverse
products. This material is particularly inspiring
for designers, architects and manufacturers.
This model has plugs for audio cables that
are connected to the ipad’s. Headphones or
speakers can be connected through these
audio out jacks.
Lacquered support
The (steel) legs are coated with a layer of an
epoxy and/or polyester resin-based powder.
The process is extremely environment-friendly,
because no solvent is involved, the powder
being applied electrostatically and any surplus
being recycled. The result is particularly
wear-resistant and affords a high degree of
resistance to damage and scratching.
