We’ll meet at 4p in the Lower Auditorium before heading out to sing, then get back together for a pitch-in soup and sandwich dinner following caroling. (Please note: all regularly scheduled Sunday evening groups will be participating in the caroling instead of their normal activities.) David Wells Concert Take time to relax this Christmas season and join us Friday, December 19th, at 7p for a free jazz concert in the Lower Auditorium. The concert features nationally acclaimed, flugelhorn and trumpet player David Wells. (Don’t forget to invite family and friends!) Progressive Dinner Party Students! Bring your friends and join the fun at our youth Christmas party/progressive meal on Friday, December 19th, at 4:45p. NEXT WEEK Christmas Eve Services We’ll hold two services in our sanctuary on Christmas Eve. Please invite family and friends and join us for a celebration at either our 5:30p or our 7p service. (Kids are welcome to wear PJ’s.) Birthday Party for Jesus Your entire family can share Christ with the lonely this Christmas by helping with a “Birthday Party for Jesus” for residents at Hanover Health and Rehab. All ages can participate in bringing the love of Jesus to the residents by purchasing a gift (see our angel tree in the Lower Auditorium), assisting with giving the gifts, providing cupcakes or 2 liters for the party, or spending Christmas morning with the residents. We’ll be delivering gifts at 9a. The party starts at 10a. If you’d like to help, please contact Kim Taylor at 502-241-5483. (Gifts are due by December 21st). Bulletin announcements are due the Thursday before the Sunday you’d like it printed. Guidelines for writing one are available outside our office. Opportunities Deadline TODAY! Homework Helpers The more volunteers we have the more students we can help! You can show love to Lydia Middleton students by helping them with homework from 2:45p-3:45p on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday. No experience necessary, we’ll train you! Tutoring resumes in January. We need a volunteer count so if you’d like to help, write “Homework Helpers” on your communication card, sign up in the Lower Auditorium, or contact Nancy Totten at 701-3708 today. Deadline TODAY! No Empty Stockings We’re staying connected with our Lynch, KY friends by collecting boxes of saltine crackers (600 total) and bags of candy (170 total) for the Tri-Cities Empty Stocking Fund. You can be part of the mission by dropping off items in the Lower Auditorium today. Angel Tree If you’d like to help a family in need celebrate Christmas this year, please stop by our Angel Tree in the Lower Auditorium and pick out an angel to sponsor. To help us keep track of the angels, make sure you fill out the sign-up sheet by the tree with your name, phone number, and angel number. Gifts need to be wrapped (please tape the angel to the package) and placed under the tree in the Lower Auditorium by December 21st. You can thank them by designating giving envelopes to “Staff Love Gift”. Please place gifts in the offering plate or send them to our office by December 21st. You can be part of the success stories and help students in El Salvador attend primary school, high school, and university in 2015 by designating gifts “ES Scholarships”. Due by December 28th. Debbie’s Retirement Our Office Manager, Debbie Perry, is retiring. Her last day will be December 26th.
