5. Other MCSBA Business
Mr. McKenna reported that there was a surplus this year within the Golden Bell’s
budget For this year, the committee will be looking at the different projects to
recognize nominated individuals.
Mr. Abbott inquired if the excess funds will continue to go back into MCSBA’s
account.
Mr. McKenna responded that the funds will be in MCSBA’s account and that the
committee will be bringing down the cost of attending events to members, which
would lower the profit since members will not be charged for attendance. The
committee is also looking at lower cost alternatives for venues.
Ms. Nemzer asked that the committee take into consideration about parking for
these events.
Ms. Jackson recalled that last year for the first time MCSBA sponsored some high
school students in attending the JLAC event in Sacramento. Ms. Jackson
proposed that MCSBA extend the invitation to include the High School Student
Trustees.
Mr. Cooper reminded the committee of the Annual CCSDO Meeting on
November 24th, 2014.
6. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 5:38 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Marilyn Nemzer
Secretary
