Store it safely with other pieces. In this stage’s assembly, you will work on the Fat Boy’s brake pedal, which was started in the last stage. You’ll need the brake pedal parts from Stage 47, some of which you partly assembled in Stage 72. Secure the pedal with a type W screw, placed in the hole in the bracket. 3 5 4 Loop the end of the brake cable around the screw on the pedal. Now tighten the screw to secure the brake cable. 205 Assembly of the brake pedal is now complete. Store it safely with your other parts. For this stage’s assembly, you will need the small cover from Stage 38, the radiator from Stage 49, the oil filter and support from Stage 63, Small cover and cable C from Stage 65. You will also need a type K screw, a Phillips screwdriver and Fro m S tag e 4 9 some cyanoacrylate glue. You r p arts 1 The right saddlebag Radiator F r om S tage 63 Fro m S tag e 6 5 Cable C Oil filter and support 206 Harley-Davidson FLSTF Fat Boy: Assembly Guide 1 Insert the two ends of cable C into the holes in the radiator. 2 3 Insert the silver end of cable C into the hole in the engine. If necessary, secure the wires with a drop of glue. 4 Place the support on the oil filter. 5 8 Attach the radiator to the frame by inserting it into the two holes shown. 6 7 Fit the small cover over the screw hole. Place the assembled oil filter into the hole on the support indicated by the arrow. The engine hoses With this stage, you receive part of the pillion backrest, an item which you can use to customise your Fat Boy (see photo right). Keep it safe with the other parts. In this stage’s assembly, you will need the bike assembly to continue work, fixing the hoses between different parts of the engine. You will need the four hoses provided with Stage 66, and some cyanoacrylate glue. Fix one end to the engine block and the other to the oil pump. B This hose has a plug at one end (A) and a socket at the other (B). If either end of the hose will not stay in place, apply a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. A Hose X fits between the frame and the oil pump. This hose has a plug at one end (A) and a socket at the other (B). 3 A Hose Z B 4 A A Hose T B Hose T connects the second port of the oil tank to the base of the frame. This hose also has a plug on both ends. B Hose Z connects the engine to a port in the oil tank. The hose has a plug on both ends. A B 209 TM
