Edinburgh Central Constituency

An election is to be held on Thursday, 5 May 2016 to elect a Constituency Member to the Scottish
Parliament.
2.
The hours of poll will be from 7am to 10pm. This poll will be combined with the poll for the election
of members to serve in the Scottish Parliament for the electoral region of Lothian.
3.
Applications to be included in the Register of Electors must reach the Electoral Registration Officer,
17A South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh EH12 9FL not later than midnight on Monday, 18 April 2016.
4.
Postal or Proxy Voting
Any elector may apply for a postal or proxy vote at this election. Applications to vote by post must
reach the Electoral Registration Officer, 17A South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh EH12 9FL or
Midlothian by 5.00pm on Tuesday, 19 April 2016.
Applications to cancel or alter postal and proxy votes, or to change from postal to proxy voting
must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at, 17A South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh EH12 9FL by
5.00pm on Tuesday, 19 April 2016.
Applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the above address by
5.00pm on Tuesday, 26 April 2016 .
Applications to vote by proxy at this election applied for on grounds of physical incapacity, where
that physical incapacity occurred after 5.00pm on Tuesday, 26 April 2016 must reach the Electoral
Registration Officer at the above address by 5.00pm on Thursday, 5 May 2016.
