he Congress of Residential Architecture (CORA) and Nana Wall Systems, hosted a panel discussion on “Residential Architectural Integrity: Wealth
Spent Wisely” for over 100 architects
on October 5, 2006 at the National Arts
Club in New York, N.Y.
The Panel speakers included high end
residential architects who have also authored architectural books including
moderator architect Dennis Wedlick
(Dennis Wedlick Architect, LLC), Steven Harris (Steven Harris Architects,
LLP), Jeremiah Eck (Eck MacNeely Architects, Inc.), Allan Shope (Shope Reno
Wharton Associates), David Neumann
(Versaci Neumann & Partners Architects), and journalist and author of the
best selling book, House Thinking, Winifred Gallagher.
The architect panelists discussed the
practices of today’s residential architecture and the changes that the custom
home building community has seen
post 9/11. The panel shared their experiences with clients and how technology has changed the building process
and the specialization of custom homes.
They talked about balancing style trends
and energy-efficient factors.
“With the rise of cookie-cutter homes
being built in previously undeveloped,
rural areas, CORA seeks to create a forum for enhancing residential architecture and improve the homes being
built in our communities,” said Dennis
Wedlick, Dennis Wedlick Architect,
LLC, New York, N.Y. “We are thrilled
to have assembled architects who are so
influential in the residential architecture
industry.”
One of the editors from/ *Architectural Record*/* *commented that we
gathered together a very intelligent panel of architects. She was impressed that
architects to the rich and famous not
only focus on design, room flow & ergonomics; they also factor in green design
and energy efficiency.

anaWall launches New York
Showroom in fashionable
Noho, just one block North of
Soho. Bill Leon and Spozarski
hosted an Open House for architects in New York to visit the
showroom. Architects stopped by
with their blueprints and design
questions for Bill who gave demonstrations and answered all their
questions with ease.
During the catered event Bob
played on his laptop the new
“NanaWall Photo Montage,” created by Muz Nana. The next day
Bob and Bill presented the AIA
seminar for 1 CEU to about 50
architects. Gene Alpin and Alison Blume chatted with guests
including architects from Cornell
who designed the Solar Decathlon
House that won 2nd place last year
and featured two Nana Wall Systems.
Architects were impressed by the
presentation and eager to receive
their certificates. To order a copy
of the NanaWall Photo Montage
on Power point and new NanaWall
pens, please e-mail April Keene.
More photos from the event will be
on the web site. Special Thanks to
Bob, Bill and Gene for taking time
from their schedule to meet the architects. All New York Showroom
appointments need to be scheduled with Bill Leon’s office.
