Vista PEAK PoWeR Session Information
Our second session will be held March 30 -April 3. The sign up form for the Second PoWeR Session is
included in this packet and due by March 6, 15.
CHOICE SESSIONS
All students will be given a “PoWeR Menu” (see enclosed) with this PoWeR session’s “CHOICE”
offerings. These sessions are open to all Vista PEAK students that meet the session criteria (see
intended audience on PoWeR Menu). If your student meets the criteria and is interested in
participating, please fill out the enclosed sign-up form with your student’s preferences. Sign-up
forms must be returned no later than Friday, March 6, 15 by 3pm for the second session.
Sessions will be filled by lottery held on March 9. An electronic message will be sent to parents
notifying the results of the lottery on March 10.
FEES: After you have been notified your student will be participating in session, please make
sure to send the required fee. All fees are due March 12, 15.

Each Vista PEAK teacher will participate in one of the three PoWeR sessions throughout the year.
Due to this, grade levels will not be evenly represented at each session.
Transportation will provide buses for PoWeR session participants only.
Please make sure you have childcare arranged in the event your student’s name is not drawn in the
lottery for a PoWeR session spot.
Parent support is welcomed. If you would like to sign up to volunteer, please use the designated area
on the sign-up sheet.
PoWeR sessions will run four to five days and will be 8:15-3:15.

ATTENTION! WE WILL NO LONGER PLACE STUDENTS IN A POWER SESSION ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.
INSTEAD, WE WILL BE HOLDING A LOTTERY. THIS WILL ALLOW ALL STUDENTS WHO APPLY A FAIR CHANCE OF GETTING
INTO A POWER SESSION OF THEIR CHOICE. THE LOTTERY WILL BE HELD ON MARCH 9, 15.
If your student is selected in the LOTTERY, you will be notified by the teacher 1-2 weeks prior to the session. You will
also receive an electronic message as well as a written communication.
