Wyndham Harbour
Wyndham Harbour is situated within
the flat plains of Werribee South
adjacent to Port Phillip Bay
The landscape concept aims to
provide a locally appropriate and
environmentally sustainable response
to the proposed development.
Exclusively native and indigenous
planting contribute to the high quality
of design for the public and residents
whilst encouraging indigenous fauna
to the site.
Appropriate planting along streets
and in yards and the indigenous
planted dune system will contribute
to favourable views to and from the
Bay. Valuable indigenous remnant
vegetation will be reinforced and
protected, while the wetland and open
space areas to the north of the site
enable the generation of indigenous
and native flora and fauna habitats
while additionally contributing to
an ecologically sustainable water
treatment program.
A contextually appropriate landscape
treatment helps to create and maintain
a landscape for the site that is locally
responsive and appealing to people
and beneficial to the environment alike
