Canasta – We are looking for Ladies and Men to play Canasta on Tuesday afternoons beginning July 7, 1:30pm, room 103 at the Center. We have been playing “Hand ‘n Foot”. Pottery – Call Debbie right away if you are interested in taking Pottery classes, 769-8329. Classes for beginners or experienced potters beginning in July. Bible Study – New Classes beginning!! Jennifer Roithschild’s “Missing Pieces”. We are starting a brand new session this month. Class meets each Thursday 10am. Join anytime. Optional book fee - $13. Theatre – Biloxi Center Stage – “Fiddler on the Roof” This is one of our all-time favorite theatrical experiences. We have seen it in 5 different cities on 5 different stages; even “in the round”. We will see Center Stage’s production on Thursday, July 23, leaving the Center at 6pm; curtain, 730pm. Tickets are $20. Lunch Bunch Trip – Armed Forces Retirement Home, Gulfport and lunch. Trip date: Wednesday, July 29. Cost: $20. Day Trip – Wednesday, August 12. We will tour Pensacola Naval Air Station, Home of the “Blue Angels” and Historic Downtown Pensacola. Trip includes motorcoach transportation, lunch and all admissions. $50. We will leave @ 7am and return by 6pm. Dominos – “Mexican Train”; will teach new players. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 1:30pm; Wednesday and Friday at 10am, Call 769-8329 to get on our list and pick a day to play. Begins July 6. Acting Classes – New students welcome! Classes meet each Thursday at 1:30pm. $10 per session. Yoga Classes – Meets Monday 10:30am. Cost - $10 per session. Tuesday Luncheons – The Senior Center hosts a Fellowship Luncheon each Tuesday beginning at 11am. Each week we feature a guest speaker or entertainer. Join anytime and bring your favorite covered dish to share with our group OR make a $5 donation. JULY 2015 Lunch Guests include: Tuesday, July 7 – Singers, John Burrows and Janelle Pritchard. Tuesday, July 14 – Dennis Cannon with some cool tunes. Tuesday, July 21 – Speech Therapist from SRHS, Tara Ferdinand. Lessons on improving mental processing, remembering and expressing. A great opportunity for all of us! Tuesday, July 28 – The Jackson County Election Commission. We will meet all five members and see how our local elections are run. The Members are: Danny Glaskox, Jerry Sims, Debbie Hodges, Michael Dickinson and Tommy Vidrine. UNITED WAY FUNDRAISER – We will host the City’s Untied Way Fundraiser this year with a RED BEANS, SAUSAGE and RICE DINNER with salad and dessert on Friday, July 31 beginning at 11am. Everyone is invited to participate by coming out to buy a plate and enjoy the day with us. Donation: $5 NEED A WILL? Mississippi Center for Legal Services will be on hand to prepare simple wills for anyone who may need this service on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Senior Center. Pre-registration is not required. They will be on hand 9:30am-Noon and 1:30pm-4:30pm. There is NO CHARGE for this service. LYNN MEADOWS – Show Trip- “Mary Poppins” - Wed., July 15, 8:45am. Show and Lunch at the Beau, $20.
