Starting the new season - Spring 2017. Welcome note coming to remind all parents about
supporting the team, players, refs and coaches – modelling good behavior for our players.
New Field proposal @ Arundel by SCSD – 3 options:
o Leave as is
o SCSD able to make minor improvements
o City of San Carlos to find a 9v9 size field
Need as many people as possible to come out and support the proposal at the SCSD meeting
on Thursday 23-Mar.



We get/use Laureola in the Fall only for U10 and U8. In the spring it is too crowded with
little league using the baseball fields.
AYSO is running an 8 week camp at TL
Scholarship checks were handed out to teams that have recipients. Managers are notified
via email who the recipients are so their accounts can be properly credited.

Redwood League registration for teams playing in CCSL playing league is due 15-Mar
Redwood League registration for teams playing in NorCal playing league – to cover Pensra

o If you’re going to change playing leagues at last minute or have issues with registering
for leagues need to work with Brad and Marten.

5. Referee report –Rich







Rich reminded everyone of the policy of Zero-tolerance policy for talking to refs before,
during or after the game about calls made during the game. Police yourself and your
parents.
We have 63 new refs so set expectations low with your parents and with opponents
Will try to have mentor refs as often as possible this season
Games in PENSRA now.
No changes to the Laws of the Game this season
Really hard to get CRs to fill younger (U8 & U9) games with just a single ref.
( ) AI for all Mgrs to reach out to opposing Manager a week prior to each home game to set
expectations about Refs this season and the Zero-tolerance policy for talking to refs before,
during or after the game about calls made during the game.
