CAMP STORE:
Hurontario has campers and staff with severe peanut, nut and other allergies. As a result, Hurontario is
unable to accept any mailed parcels. Thank you for your assistance.
Hurontario operates a Camp Store. Hurontario‘s store has no candy or pop for sale. Rather at the Camp
Store, campers purchase such items as camp clothing, fishing tackle, toiletries, and biodegradable
products. This is also where the campers pick up their mail.
Intro campers traditionally purchase an Intro hat and t-shirt which only this group can purchase. We hope
that all our Intro boys will be given permission to purchase these two very special items.
The items purchased at the Camp Store are put on your son’s account, which is mailed home at the end of
each session. A Camp Store limit is a good idea. No cash should be sent to camp.
POST OFFICE LIMIT: $ _______________
(Please indicate a specific amount)
MORE CAMPER INFORMATION:
CABIN MATES: (For 9 day group only)
Preferences as to cabin mates are very important to the happiness of your son’s time at the camp. Please
only ask for two cabin mates. Cabin groups are made up of campers of the (approximate) same age and
interests, plus your son’s request to be with a friend. If you think that it would be better for your son to
have a camping experience separate from another camper who will be attending at the same time, please
indicate this.

CAMPER INFORMATION (continued)
Is there information with respect to your son’s home situation which would be helpful in assuring your son
a happy summer? (all information is kept private) __________________________________________

Are there any reasons why your son would be unable to fully participate in all activities offered at the
camp (please specify). _____________________________________________________
A LETTER FROM HOME – Very helpful! We urge our parents to take a minute and write
a letter to the counsellor about your son.
Over the past summers, more and more of our parents have written an anecdotal report on their son with a
few details about his personality, his likes, his hobbies and his interests in general. This is very helpful to
his counsellor. If you would like to write a short note, please attach a separate letter.
