Desde el Escritorio del Padre Carlos
Christ is Risen, Alleluia!!! Alleluia!!! — He is Risen indeed,
Alleluia!!!! Alleluia!!!! The promise of eternal life is demonstrated as truth this morning as we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ Jesus Alleluia!!! Alleluia!!! Today is the reason
we are Christians, the Resurrection is what makes us children of God and co-heirs with Christ. Jesus’ death was
merely the necessary first act, but the Resurrection is the
grand finale. To me, I think, Easter is what allows us to
make it through this life with all its trials, sorrow and pain.
Easter tells us that there is indeed a light at the end of the
tunnel and that light is the Light. Jesus Christ Himself and
the Father and the Holy Spirit. Without the First Fruits of
the Resurrection how would we ever believe in in our potential resurrection? However, since we have the proof of
His Resurrection, we can be confident He will fulfill the
promise of ours and therefore we can make it through anything in this world.
¡¡¡Cristo ha Resucitado!!! ¡¡¡Aleluya, Aleluya!!! — ¡¡¡En
Verdad ha Resucitado!!! ¡¡¡Aleluya, Aleluya!!! La promesa
de vida eterna se hace verdadera esta mañana al celebrar
la Resurrección de Jesucristo ¡¡¡Aleluya, Aleluya!!! Este día
es la razón por la cual somos Cristianos, la Resurrección es
lo que nos hace hijos de Dios y coherederos con Cristo. La
muerte de Jesús fue simplemente el primer hecho necesario, pero la Resurrección es el resultado final. Para mí, yo
creo, que la Pascua es lo que nos permite vivir esta vida
con todas sus pruebas, penas y dolores. La Pascua nos dice
que en verdad existe una luz al final del túnel y esa luz es la
Luz. Jesucristo mismo y el Padre y el Espíritu Santo. Sin los
Primeros Frutos de la Resurrección ¿cómo podríamos creer
en nuestra posible resurrección? Sin embargo, debido a
que tenemos la prueba de Su Resurrección, podemos estar
seguros de que cumplirá nuestra promesa y por lo tanto
podemos vivir a través de cualquier cosa en este mundo.
All of us lose people in this world, and yet, our faith tells us
that if they were part of the Body of Christ, tried their best
to follow Him, and sought His forgiveness when they failed;
they shall receive the reward of eternal life. And of course,
the same applies for us as well, which is why we hear in the
Catholic Funeral Rite, the prayer which says, “One day we
shall joyfully greet them again when the love of Christ,
which conquers all things, destroys even death itself.” It is
this promise, which we initially receive at Baptism that sustains us in times of loss. Without faith in the Resurrection,
we would all fall into despair or apathy at the loss of a
loved one. That is why today we rejoice in Jesus’s Resurrection and in the promise of our own and of those we love.
Personas a nuestro alrededor mueren, y sin embargo,
nuestra fe nos dice que si esa persona era parte del Cuerpo
de Cristo, trató lo mejor de sí mismo para seguirlo, y buscó
Su perdón cuando falló, recibirá su recompensa de la vida
eterna. Y por supuesto, también lo mismo aplica para nosotros, y por esa razón escuchamos en el Rito de un funeral
Católico, la oración que dice: “Un día otra vez los recibiremos con alegría cuando el amor de Cristo, el cual vence
todas las cosas, destruye incluso la muerte.” Es esta promesa, la cual inicialmente recibimos en el Bautismo, la cual
nos sostiene cuando perdemos a un ser querido. Sin la fe
en la Resurrección, todos entraríamos en la desesperanza o
la apatía cuando perdemos a un ser querido. Y es por eso
que hoy nos regocijamos en la Resurrección de Jesús y en
nuestra propia promesa y la de aquellos que amamos.
But the opposite is also true. As we heard in the story of
the rich man and Lazarus, “Abraham said, ‘If they will not
listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.’” Some do
not believe despite the evidence and as they reject His Resurrection, so too His Divinity, and finally, they reject His
offer of eternal life in heaven. That is why, even as we rejoice, we are called to share this Good News to help those
who do not believe to overcome their disbelief.

Pero lo opuesto también es cierto. Como lo escuchamos en

Stewardship Reflection
Reflexión de Corresponsabilidad
In today’s first reading from the Acts of the Apostles, Peter
boldly offers his testimony to the risen Christ. He shared
with the crowds what he himself witnessed: Jesus’ friendship, healing and forgiveness. Peter proclaims a resurrected
life that brings hope. The Christian life is, indeed, a resurrected life. It is new life, one of truth, inner joy and genuine
fulfillment. God has transformed our lives for all eternity,
and that transformation is what it means to be a Christian.
Do you know the resurrected life? Have you genuinely experienced it? Good stewards have, and in their joy, they are
committed, like Peter, to offering their own witness. It is
time to rejoice. Christ the Lord is risen today! Alleluia!
En la primera lectura de hoy de los Hechos de los Apóstoles, Pedro ofrece valientemente su testimonio de Cristo
resucitado. Él compartió con las multitudes lo que él mismo
presenció: la amistad de Jesús, la curación y el perdón. Pedro proclama una vida resucitada que trae esperanza. La
vida cristiana es, ciertamente, una vida resucitada. Es una
nueva vida, una vida de verdad, de gozo interior y de auténtica satisfacción. Dios ha transformado nuestras vidas
para toda la eternidad, y esta transformación es lo que significa ser cristiano. ¿Conoce usted la vida resucitada? ¿La
ha experimentado usted verdaderamente? Los buenos corresponsables la tienen, y en su gozo, están comprometidos

Preciosa’s Pointers
Hi everybody J Happy Easter!!!! I’m going to stay up and
watch for the Easter Bunny
this weekend. Daddy and Bella and Julieta and I watched
the “It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown!” together. My
favorite part is where Snoopy dances with the bunnies, so
Bella and Julieta and I decided we were going to stay up
while daddy is at the Easter Vigil and hopefully catch the
Easter Bunny and his friends, so we can all dance together.
I think that dancing is the perfect way to celebrate Easter
and that Jesus would love to see us dancing. Daddy was
telling us about his uncle Bob who used to sign in his
church choir and his favorite song was, “I danced in the
Morning”… the end of the song goes like this... “I am the
life that’ll never ever die; I’ll live in you if you’ll live in me; I
am the Lord of the dance said He…. Dance then wherever
you may be: I am the Lord of the dance said He. And I’ll
lead you all wherever you may be. And I’ll lead you all in
the dance said he.” I like to think about dancing with Jesus,
I think that may be what heaven will be like… Meanwhile
the girls and I will keep waiting for the Easter Bunny and
Snoopy, so we can dance together. Keep your paws dry

Puntos de Vista de Preciosa
Hola ¡¡¡Felíz Pascua!!! Me voy a quedar despierta y buscar
al conejo de la Pascua este fin de semana. Mi papi y Bella y
Julieta y yo vimos juntos la caricatura “¡Es el Sabueso de
Pascua, Charlie Brown!” Mi parte favorita es cuando
Snoopy baila con los conejos, así que Bella y Julieta y yo
decidimos que nos vamos a quedar despiertas mientras mi
papi está en la Vigilia Pascual y espero que encontremos al
conejo de la Pascua y a sus amigos, y así todos podamos
bailar juntos. Creo que la manera perfecta de celebrar la
Pascua es bailando y que a Jesús le encantaría vernos bailar. Mi papi nos estaba contando de su tío Bob quien solía
cantar en el coro de su parroquia y su canción favorita era:
“Bailé por la Mañana” … el final de la canción va así… “Yo
soy la vida que nunca morirá; viviré en ti si tú vives en mí;
soy el Señor de la danza Él dijo… Entonces baila en donde
sea que estés: Soy el Señor de la danza Él dijo. Los guiaré
donde quiera que estén. Y los guiaré a todos en la danza Él
dijo.” Me gusta pensar acerca de bailar con
Jesús, pienso que así será el cielo… Mientras
tanto las niñas y yo esperaremos al conejo de
la Pascua y Snoopy, para poder bailar juntos.
Mantengan sus pies secos y su panza llena. Los
ama Preciosa.

Come, grow closer to Jesus through the power of his Holy
Spirit, as leaders of the "Light of Christ" prayer group present our annual seminar. Each week we will discuss the
gifts of the Holy Spirit, how to grow in your personal relationship with Jesus, and how to understand Holy Scripture
and apply it to your life. At the end of this course we will
pray with you for a greater infilling of the Holy Spirit in
your life.
