WINTER STORM WARNING
In effect for the entire region
through Wednesday evening
Snow will continue across the region tonight through Wednesday.
Storm totals will range from 12-18 inches across the Niagara Frontier and
western Southern Tier to 18-24 inches across the Finger Lakes and North
Country with highest amounts along the south shore of Lake Ontario.
Temperatures will remain well below normal for this time of year. Daily highs in
the upper teens to low 20s and lows single numbers to low teens.
Wind chills will range from 5 above to 5 below zero.
Winds from the Northeast this afternoon...backing to the north this evening
and tonight and from the northwest on Wednesday. Wind speeds generally 15
to 25 mph, with stronger with gusts to 35 mph along the south shores of Lakes
Erie and Ontario.

mph along the lake shores


Snowfall rates up to an inch per hour across the Niagara
Frontier and western Southern Tier
Snowfall rates of one to one-and-a-half inches per hour
across south shore of Lake Ontario and the Finger Lakes
Blowing and drifting snow will reduce visibility at
times...especially along the lake shores
Continued cold with highs in the upper teens to
low 20s and lows tonight in the single numbers to
low teens.

