4-H SHOWCASE
Mike Hart has been an important addition to Nolan County 4-H. He completed the Shooting Sports Program and
became a Certified Archery Coach. He
is the 4-H Archery Project Leader and
has been doing so since September
2014. We Thank You Mr. Hart for all
the time, dedication, effort and commitment you have given and give to the
Nolan County 4-H Archery Program.

FIRST RESPONDER’S APPRECIATION MEAL
Instead of having a First Responder’s Appreciation Meal
this year it has been decided to go ahead and plan on making
Goodie Bags for the First Responder’s which will consist of
brownies, cookies, rice crispy treats, bottled water, etc. A
later date will be set for the deliveries. Clothing & Textile
members will make cloth bags for the goodies.
Voting for further planning to take place on March 6th
at the Nolan County 4-H meeting.
Extension programs serve people of all ages regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, religion, disability or national origin.

PROJECT
Do you like fashion and being creative? The 4-H Clothing
and Textiles project is perfect for you. In the 4-H
Clothing and Textiles Project you can learn how to sew,
how to be a good consumer when purchasing clothes, the
art of designing clothes and accessories, and careers in
the fashion industry.

2017 Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarships
QUAY LLOYD SCHOLARSHIP
You can donate to the Quay Lloyd Scholarship
in honor of him. He will receive this scholarship
at graduation. Please make checks payable to
Nolan County 4-H and designate it for Quay
Zachary Wilcox
Texas 4-H awards over 200 scholarships for students – all you need is 4-H experience, financial
need, your academic record and graduate from
high school during the 2016-2017 school year. The
scholarship awards range from $3,000-$20,000.

Lone Star Ag Credit Scholarship
$$$ Lone Star Ag Credit Scholarship: Lone
Star Ag created a scholarship in order to contribute to the education of deserving youth in our
territory. Lone Star Ag credit will award six (6)
graduating seniors a $2,500 scholarship in 2017.
The applicant must be graduating in May of 2017;
the application must be completed and postmarked by April 1, 2017.
