SHS Road to Graduation Class Requirements & Registration Information Diploma Types There is only one type of diploma. Sonoraville High School does provide the opportunity to earn an enhanced high school diploma. The Gold Track – A Gold seal can be earned by completing an AP track in any academic area in addition to a minor flight plan. The Silver Track- A Silver seal can be earned by completing a minor flight plan in any area. The Silver Track with Distinction- Students who complete a CTAE minor and pass the State of Georgia End of Pathway Exam. Credit Requirements 26 Units** of credit required for graduation Promotion to 10th grade – 6 units of credit. Promotion to 11th grade – 12 units of credit. Promotion to 12th grade – 20 units of credit. **To graduate with Distinction (B avg) and/or Highest Honors (Core GPA 90 or above and 8 or more Honors/AP courses), students must have earned 28 Units. Foreign Language study for at least two years in the same language is recommended for students who have average proficiency in English and plan to enter college. Many colleges require at least 2 units in the same language for acceptance into the college. Students must complete an academic or CTAE Phoenix Flight Plan or Pathway. (3 or more courses concentrated in an academic or career area.) The form asked for teacher recommendations, test scores, and a writing sample. Super Saturday Registrtion February 8th, 2013 (This Saturday) Each homeroom will have an assigned time. Time will have no effect on availability of classes. Information on the electives will be available. Core area teachers, counselors, and administrators will be available to answer questions and finalize registration.
