UK Monthly Clean Dark Spread Closing Prices - 30 Days
The assumed gross margin (per MWh) at market close prices achieved by coal-fired power plant operating at 35%
efficiency after the cost of carbon (EU ETS Carbon Allowances) from the previous 30 trading days. Prices are for
monthly contracts. Dark spreads tend to narrow when coal plant is setting the marginal price on the network and
widen if for example, gas plant is setting the price. This data is updated around 5am on the day after a working day
(Tuesday - Saturday).
