Executive MPA Scholarships 2017
The Hertie School of Governance in Berlin provides a number of scholarships for exceptional applicants to
the Executive Master of Public Administration (Executive MPA) programme. The admission procedure for all
scholarships is strictly “need-blind” and therefore based solely on the quality and coherence of the application.
Scholarship applications will only be considered by the selection committee in a second stage, in case the
candidate has been admitted to the programme. The scholarship funds will be granted with a view to the
quality of the application, the candidate’s contribution to the diversity of the student body as well as the
financial need of the candidate.
nThe Executive MPA Central and Eastern European (CEE) Scholarship is directed at professionals from all
sectors from central and eastern European countries (including the Western Balkans) as well as from
NISPAcee member states. It consists of a full Executive MPA tuition waiver (i.e. EUR 29,500).
nThe Executive MPA CommIO Scholarship is directed at German professionals from international organisations
or European institutions who are registered with CommIO. It is offered in partnership with the Auswärtiges
Amt (German Foreign Office) and consists of a full Executive MPA tuition waiver (i.e. EUR 29,500).
nThe Executive MPA Public Service Leaders Scholarship is directed at professionals from the Public
Sector (including national and state administrations, international organisations and European
institutions), who bring leadership experience or proven leadership qualities. It covers 50% of the
tuition fees for the Executive MPA Programme (i.e. EUR 14,750).
nThe Social Entrepreneurship and Non Profit Management Scholarship is directed at social entrepreneurs
as well as at managers in the Non Profit Sector, who bring leadership experience or proven leadership
qualities. It covers 50% of the tuition fees for the Executive MPA Programme (i.e. EUR 14,750).
nThe Women in Leadership Scholarship is directed at female professionals from all sectors, who bring
leadership experience or proven leadership qualities. It covers 50% of the tuition fees for the Executive
MPA Programme (i.e. EUR 14,750).
nHertie School Scholarships (mostly partial tuition waivers) are available for especially qualified candidates.
Apply by 15 March for the programme start
in September 2017.
