Cork Tile Instructions
Mounting of tiles with removable tape mounts
o Remove tab from backing sheet
o Press tab firmly to back of tile
o Mount Spacing
 12” tiles one 1” mount per corner (approx 1” from edges) and one in the
center
 6” tiles one 1” mount per corner
 3” tiles one ½” mount per corner
o Remove remaining protective paper
o Press tile onto wall surface
o Repeat with other tiles
o Please Note: removable tape mounts do not work with all surfaces. Surfaces
should be clean and dry. Unfinished walls should be primed. If the adhesive tabs
do not work with your surface permanent adhesive may be used.
 Removal of tiles with removable tape mounts
o Gently pry tile starting at one corner from wall
o If necessary a putty knife may be used to start separating the mount from the
back of the tile
o Remove remaining mounting squares from wall by peeling or rolling mounting
square beginning at one corner
 Tiles may be permanently mounted using permanent double sided tape or a permanent
adhesive ( not provided ). Permanent adhesive should be applied at each corner and in
the center of the tiles or may be troweled over the surface to be covered. Trowelable
construction adhesives are preferred.
Please note: temporary support may be needed. Test to ensure adhesive used has
sufficient grab to support the weight of the tiles.
 Care and Maintenance
o Washable finish.
o The surface can be wiped or washed using any common, PH neutral cleaning
method (PH 7-8.5).
o Abrasives or alkaline cleaners should never be used.
o Rinse with clean water after cleaning.
