RULES AND REGULATIONS
ALL GENERAL RULES APPLY
1. All exhibits must remain intact until Sunday. All exhibits must remain
intact until Sunday August 14th at Noon.
2. Exhibitors entering 15 or more items must be here by 7:00 pm. All
exhibits must be on the table by 8:00 pm.
3. No article that has been exhibited at a previous fair will be allowed to
be exhibited.
4. All exhibits must have been finished within the last two years.
5. All exhibits must be made by the person under whose name they are
entered.
6. No person may enter more than one exhibit in one lot.
7. All articles must be dry.
8. Professionals and non-professionals will be judged separately. Professionals include teachers, judges, instructors, advisors, & owners/
operators/demonstrators engaged in business related to the area of exhibit, & anyone who sells their items for more than cost.
When entering as a Professional, please add a
P after the lot number (example 001-P)
9. Crafts open to adults only, 18 years of age and older.
10. Youth age 17 years and under may enter in DIVISION I– YOUTH
ARTS AND CRAFTS
11. Decisions of the judges are final.
12. Polk County Fair will NOT be responsible for theft or damage of an
entry.

An Outstanding Ribbon will be awar ded to the
Outstanding Exhibit in each Class.

Grossman & Weston Gravel will awar d $10 to the
Outstanding Hobby Collection in Class 73
Brixius Jewelers will awar d a $50 gift cer tificate to the

13. No saw tooth hangers.
14. An item will be entered in an “any other” lot only if it cannot be
classified anywhere else. Duplicate items will not be classified
“any other”.
15. All entries will be judged on the following basis-originality 25%,
workmanship 50% presentation 25%.
