Trinity Mission Statement
To proclaim God’s grace in Christ
through Word and Sacrament;
To nurture faith through Christian education and fellowship; and To bring the
Gospel to the world community through
Christian witness, sacrifice, and love.
Our BELIEVE series will be ending on Sunday, May
5th. It has been a faith adventure for us this year as
we’ve travelled through 30 weeks of topics that can
help us to be more like Jesus. That is our everyday
goal, right?
The first 10 weeks we focused on the question, “What
do I believe?” The topics that helped us to THINK
Like Jesus were: God (The Holy Trinity), Personal
God, Salvation, The Bible, Identity in Christ, The
Church, Humanity, Compassion, Stewardship and
Eternity.
The next 10 weeks we focused on the question, “What
should I do?” The topics that helped us ACT like Jesus were: Worship, Prayer, Bible Study, SingleMindedness, Total Surrender, Biblical Community,
Spiritual Gifts, Offering My Time, Giving My Resources, and Sharing My Faith.
The last 10 weeks we focused on the question, “Who
am I becoming?” The topics that helped us BE like
Jesus were: Love, Joy, Peace, Self-Control, Hope, Patience, Kindness/Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness,
and Humility.
I hope this series allowed us to explore Scripture more,
too. Reading and understanding the Bible is at the
heart of the Christian life. It shows us who God is in
Jesus Christ, and it doesn’t stop there. The Bible then
shows us who we are in God’s ultimate Story.
Beginning on Sunday, May 28th, will go to one
service time: 9:00am. This will go through
Sunday, Sept. 3rd. During the summer months
we love it when people volunteer to sing or read
the lessons. Please contact Brenna in the office if
you can help out. Please consider signing up
with the Simply Giving automated giving
program if you plan to be away from church a lot
this summer. This enables you to give regularly
even if you are not in church.
Congratulations to the 15 young people that
came to the altar for the first time on Maundy
Thursday:
Addison Augustin, Madison Beaver, Miya
Ebling, Maggie Hansen, Natasha Jax,
Sophia Louks, Anna Mork, Ben Nelson,
Seth Pack, Paisley Scanlan, Everett
Schmeling, Isabelle Skime, Isabel Winfield,
Savannah Wiseman and Tanner Woslager.
We wish them God’s blessings as they
continue to grow in their faith.
A little girl in kindergarten was drawing a picture
when her teacher walked up to her desk to take a look.
She asked the child, “What are you drawing?” The
bright eyed girl quickly responded, “God.” The teacher smiled and then said, “Well, honey, no one actually
knows what God looks like.” The child looked up
from her work and confidently quipped, “Well then,
they’re about to!”
Baptized into God’s Holy Family on April
23rd was Lincoln Jeffrey Zelinske, son
of Keefe and Kenzie Zelinske. Lincoln’s
sponsors are Kasey Krekling, Jessica
Merritt, Nick Raymo & Tasha Raymo.
Paternal grandparents are Kathy Hegna
Zelinske and Heath Hegna.
And so in life we are drawing out God to the world.
We are living in such a way that shows his light to the
world. We are thinking like Jesus, acting like Jesus
and being like Jesus.
Baptized into God’s Holy Family on
April 30th was Benjamin Philip Anderson, son of AJ and Shelly Anderson.
Benjamin’s sponsors are Bev & Mick
O’Connor, Sarah & Ernest Smith, and
Jake & Brittany Wagner.
Act, Think, Be… may God help us each day to become the man or woman of God he created us to be.
And may we do it all in community with one another… his Church. Thank you for the BELIEVE journey
we have shared.
In Peace,
Pastor Paul

April 30th was Everhett Allan Crooks,
son of Taylor and Justin Crooks.
Everhett’s sponsors are Nicole & Mark
Smith, and Scott Mabry. Maternal
grandparents are Fred & Lori Kindschy.
We Are Still in Easter
Easter is a Season
Right after Easter Sunday, people
begin looking to the summer. Attendance at Sunday School and
church diminishes, students begin
to look at the ending of the school
year and, for some, graduation
approaches. One begins to long
for the weekends of going to a
favorite vacation spot, of time
spent at the swimming pool, and
long summer days enjoying picnics
and cooking on the grill.
New life is seen everywhere in the
leaves bursting forth in the trees
and in the flowers pushing their
way through the earth. Easter has
not ended. Easter continues for 50
days. Easter is the celebration of
our savior rising from the dead
and our discovery of the empty
tomb. It is no accident that Easter
happens during this Springtime of
anticipation when new life is bursting forth from everything that has
seemingly died.
Easter day has come and gone.
Yet, the Easter season has just the
begus. Easter is a long slow process that began with Jesus and con-
Sunday School
The last day of Sunday school is May 14. We will celebrate our
teachers, have crafts for Mother’s Day, and refreshments!
Early Registration!
Last month, we began to send
home registration papers with the
kids for confirmation, Sunday
School, and WASS. Early registration will ensure that we will not
have a mad dash at the last minute to get paperwork done in
August. Registration papers will
also be available in the Narthex.
You can drop the paperwork off
at the office, in the narthex, or
handed in to the teachers (or
small group leaders if you are
registering for confirmation).
Teachers, this is your time to reserve your teaching spot! The
new curriculum is being created
and this is your opportunity to
teach your favorite age group or
topic!
Funny Bone News:
Little Johnny's new baby brother was
screaming up a storm.
Johnny asked his mom, “Where’d he
come from?”
“He came from heaven, Johnny.”
Johnny responded: “Wow! I can see
why they threw him out!”
A little girl, dressed in her Sunday best,
was running as fast as she could, trying
not to be late for Bible class. As she ran
she prayed, "Dear Lord, please don't let
me be late! Dear Lord, please don't let
me be late!" As she was running and
praying, she tripped on a curb and fell,
getting her clothes dirty and tearing her
dress. She got up, brushed herself off,
and started running again. As she ran
she once again began to pray, "Dear
Lord, please don't let me be late... But
please don't shove me either!"

tinues on in the hearts and lives of
the people who carry Easter in
their heats and learn to bring Easter into the world through their
lives. Like Springtime, change is a
slow process. Inner-change and
outer-growth does not happen
overnight. Like all seeds, growing
takes time and, even after the
plant has pushed its way to the
surface, we still have to wait to
bloom and bear fruit. Enjoy the
Easter season. Enjoy the journey.
Don’t rush to summer.
Agape,
Ed
