GOD’S TIMING IS ALWAYS BEST!
b. Lift your eyes…our help comes from the
LORD
c. Daily bread
4. Freedom from fear of death, power of sin,
deceptions of the devil – with us always!
5. Eternal life
GALATIANS 4:4-7
Timing is most important for success.
1. Timing between quarterback and receiver.
2. Venus Flytrap and insect.
3. Woman “trapping” a man into marriage.
4. Golfer and speed of his swing.
Jesus came at Bethlehem centuries ago but His coming
still gives us blessings today! The Christ Child
empowers us to step out and live our faith! You and I
can…
1. Trust God as we walk into the future
2. Repent of our sins assured of God’s forgiveness
3. Love, forgive, and care for others
4. Serve God in our service to others
5. Employ our time, talents, and treasures for God’s
kingdom – at St. Paul’s and in the world
6. Witness our faith to others
Since Garden of Eden, God promised a Savior. And
“when the time had fully come God sent His Son…”
Consider why God’s timing was best!
1. Spiritual mindset of Israel
2. The Roman Empire Conquests – know world
3. The Roman Pax (peace)
4. Roman Highways
5. One language – Greek
6. Heavenly bodies in correct orbit for “star”
7. Thousands of Hebrews were living in Egypt
8. The Roman census moved Joseph and Mary to
Bethlehem from Nazareth.
God worked through our history to fulfill His will and
make His timing best!
As you celebrate Christmas remember that God sent
Jesus for you! When you open your gifts remember that
1. Jesus came because God loves you – what if
Jesus did not come?
2. Jesus came to save you – something you cannot
do!
3. Jesus came because God cares for you! You are
not alone in the trying, suffering, hard times and
losses of life.
Look at the blessings that come because the time was
right for God to act, He sent the Messiah.
1. Forgiveness of sins.
2. New relationship with God as His children.
3. God’s promises for our life: deliverance,
protection, provisions
a. Call upon God in trouble- deliverance
1
4. Jesus came to give you an abundant life – bless
you as you follow Jesus – a life full of joy, peace,
and hope!
5. Jesus came to make you a blessing for otherslive faith, imitate Jesus’ unconditional love – help
others. As we share our faith others are blessed!
God’s timing is best for your life! Live faith as we wait
trusting in Jesus and promises of God. Wait not like
waiting for an airplane to land, but to go on with life,
believing and trusting in God! In hindsight, God’s
timetable is always better than mine! I am blessed when
I wait (live trusting in God’s faithfulness) and let God
decide on the time He will act in my life and answer my
prayers. I have wonderful peace when I trust in God’s
timing!
When the time was right when Jesus was born in
Bethlehem – and boy are we blessed!
When time is right, Jesus will come again! Trust it will
happen soon, as Jesus tells us! Prepare for this great day
through repentance for your sins and your life of faith.
When the time is right, God fulfills all of His promises.
Friends, because the time has fully come may you have a
very MERRY CHRISTMAS! IJN, amen!
