Non-GMO ingredients in the industry.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
At New Chapter, we believe in sustainable
business practices, and we are proud to be
a Certified B Corporation. Our
Sustainability Department focuses
on everything from making certain
that we use the most energy-efficient
lighting to the ethical sourcing of
all our raw materials. We are also continually
engaging with our supply partners to uphold
a socially responsible and environmentally
conscious supply chain. This ongoing and

our well-being as well as that of our planet.
Every year we devote a portion of our after-tax

Non-GMO
New Chapter has always
been committed to quality
and integrity when it comes
to choosing the ingredients
used in our products.
New Chapter’s Commitment
When the Non-GMO Project declared their
charge—to inform consumers about avoiding
GMOs (genetically modified organisms) in food
and health products—we were
the first company to enrol
our entire line of vitamins
and herbal supplements for
verification. Enrolling all of our products in the
Non-GMO Project reflects our alliance with
the best practices for GMO avoidance. It also
demonstrates our continuous commitment
to deliver the Wisdom of Nature™ in all our
dietary supplements, with organic integrity
and genetic clarity. We are proud to be
pioneer supporters of the Non-GMO Project.
Read the label and follow directions. These products may not be right for you.
What are GMOs?
The term GMO is most commonly used to
reference crop plants that have had their genetic
material altered through any method. For
example, food ingredients typically derived from
GMO crops include Alfalfa, Canola, and Corn.
Global Scrutiny
All across the globe, environmental
activists, public interest groups, and socially
conscious consumers are concerned about
the possible impact of genetically modified
foods. In Japan, Australia, and all of the
countries in the European Union, there are
considerable restrictions or outright bans on
the production of GMOs. In Canada, labeling
for genetically modified foods is voluntary.
What is the Non-GMO Project’s role?
In response to consumer concern, and with the
initial goal of standardized labeling in mind,
the Non-GMO Project was formed by a group
of committed independent natural foods
retailers. As the Project developed, it became
clear that a third-party verification program
was necessary to identify products compliant
with a uniform definition of non-GMO. With
the help of technical consultants, Food Chain
Global Advisors, and a dedicated group of
industry leaders, the Non-GMO Project has
successfully created a collaborative non-GMO
verification program. Working at every level of
the supply chain, all the way back to the seeds,
the Project’s role is to inspire viable non-GMO
alternatives long into the future.
How do I know if the products
I choose contain GMOs?
Products deemed compliant with the
Non-GMO Project Standard are eligible
to bear the Non-GMO Project seal. This
verification mark indicates that a product
has been produced in accordance with the
best practices of the Non-GMO Project
Standard, including the testing of risk
ingredients. The Non-GMO Project Standard

is a consensus-based document that has
been crafted with the insight and expertise
of dozens of individuals, reflecting a dynamic
range of perspectives. It’s important to
keep in mind that this program requires
rigorous traceability practices to ensure GMO
avoidance in products. You can tell a product
has been verified if the Non-GMO Project seal
is on the package. So, look for the seal where
you shop—on foods, condiments, beverages,
and on your natural health products.
New Chapter and Non-GMO
New Chapter® is proud to be the first
vitamin and supplement company in
the natural products industry to achieve
Non-GMO Project verification. In fact, the
majority of New Chapter products have
already been Non-GMO Project Verified,
including all of our multivitamins and minerals.
