Summary
Sugar Creek Capital is the largest state tax credit investor in the country, having invested in over 150
affordable housing projects with State LIHTCs and numerous projects with other types of state
credits. The St. Louis, MO office of Sugar Creek is searching for a State Low Income Housing Tax Credit
Underwriter. The candidate should have a background or some working knowledge of real estate
development, finance, and/or LIHTCs. This is an entry level position with room for growth. Salary
negotiable.
Duties







Prepare underwriting summaries for projects with State Low Income Housing Tax Credits
Analyze financial projections
Analyze market studies
Collect, analyze, and organize due diligence items
Participate on project closing calls
Coordinate with the project attorney to a limited extent
Coordinate closing draws and funding
Requirements






Bachelor’s degree
Proficiency in Excel
Detail orientated
Strong analytical skills
Excellent writing skills
Ability to understand real estate risk
