Placing Your Students in Wordly Wise 3000
®
While the Student Books in Wordly Wise 3000 correspond to grade levels, many teachers report using a
variety of levels within their classes—either for students who struggle with on-level material or as more
challenging material for their ablest students. We recommend that, in general, you begin a student in the
Wordly Wise 3000 book corresponding with his or her nominal grade.
All the reading passages have been assigned measures using The Lexile Framework® for Reading. See the
chart below for the Lexile® ranges covered in each Student Book. If you know students’ Lexile measures,
you can match them to the correct Wordly Wise 3000 for another placement option.
