Engineering Manager
Qualifications:
(a) Either (i) a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Electrical,
Mechanical or Electronics Discipline) elected after 5 December 1975; or (ii) The
Hong Kong institute of Facility Management; or equivalent; and
(b) at least ten (1 0) years' post-qualification working experience of which at least
five (5) years in the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical or
electronics engineering works including at least three (3) years' supervisory
experience.
Job Descriptions:
 To ensure that works undertaken in a safe manner with the minimum disruptions
to traffic;
 To prepare, monitor and control annual budget;
 To provide professional judgment on all engineering aspects;
 To plan and develop necessary control and procedures so that all work shall
conform to all statutory safety laws and regulations;
 To provide leadership and direction in the management and operation of the
Engineering Division works;
 To coordinate inter-divisional activities between the Operation Division and the
Highway Maintenance Division;
 To coordinate works and attend meetings with the Government Monitor Teams;
 To provide timely and accurate reports to the Contract Director and the
Government;
 To monitor and liaise with authorised sub-contractors to ensure their works
comply with the contractual requirements;
 Responsible for the supervision, motivation, training, discipline and tasking of
staff in the Engineering Division;
 Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Quality and
Environmental Protection Management System;
 To keep all Engineering Division records generated in support of this contract;
 To attend and manage major emergency works.
