Novel Discussion Responsibilities
1. Discussion Director: 5 thought provoking questions to lead the
group’s discussion
2. Plot Summarizer and Vocabulary Enricher: Write a paragraph
summarizing the plot of the chapter. Choose 5 words- write the
full dictionary definition and write what page the word is found
on.
3. Connector and Illustrator: Write a paragraph connecting the
reading to another story, something happening in the world or
something happening to you. Draw and color a scene that stood
out in your mind after reading.
4. Character Analyst: Write a paragraph about the main characters
in the reading. Include their internal and external attributes.
5. Quiz Developer: Write a ten question quiz (include the answers) to
give your peers at the end of the novel discussion.
