Benefits




Limited by the range of dumbbell weights
As the weight increases it becomes more difficult to hold good form
Seated position means less muscle recruitment than standing

Standing bicep curl (db)
Progression
Can be done on a seated on a stability ball if goal is not hypertrophy/strength – this
will engage the core muscles more. Standing barbell curl will allow greater increase
in weight range.
