Angelfish February 23rd -27th 1 Musical Chairs with Colors To continue our study on colors, we played musical chairs with a twist. The children had to dance around the chairs that had different colored paper taped to the seat. When the music stopped and they found a chair, the teacher asked, “What color do you have?”. In this picture our friend said “Its blue.” 2 Observing an Egg in Vinegar The Angelfish really enjoyed this science project. They each took turns pouring vinegar into a jar with an egg using a measuring cup. The children immediately noticed that bubbles started to cover the egg. Over the next couple of days we observed that the egg started to change. It became larger and the shell started to disappear. 3 Lego-Eating Monsters In this activity, the children enjoyed feeding Legos to monsters. This was a fun way to sort objects by color, matching the Lego block to the samecolored monster. Math skills are fun to learn. 4 9805 Dameron Drive | Silver Spring, MD 20902 P: 301.593.9641 | [email protected] Important updates: Upcoming Dates: • March 19th – Field Trip to Meadowside Nature Center.
