Spring has sprung at Sovereign Hill and there are
loads of extra activities to enjoy. Upon arrival

Redcoats experience or Animals of the Goldfields

decorating, craft activities, Snow White – the
pantomime and Mr and Mrs Crosby’s School of
etiquette and politeness. As it is Spring there are
also many family friendly activities based around
the animals that live at Sovereign Hill. You can
watch members of the horse department change
over the horse teams which pull the vehicles and
learn how vital horses were on the goldfields.
Cow milking and butter churning by hand are also

The Creswick Woollen Mills tourism experience
“A Very Fine Yarn” showcases the journey of

Twilight Talk
The Ballarat Mechanic’s Institute have arranged a
Special Twilight Talk about the Space exploration
of Pluto by the NASA mission, “New Horizons”.
This is in collaboration with The Ballarat

to the observatory at a time of your choosing. This
is not to be missed as we all view Pluto on the big
