Classroom News:
Room 1 – We are so excited to begin the month of April with an Egg Hunt! We will then make kites and
discover how a tadpole becomes a frog. Then, we’ll learn how to take care of our Earth by learning about
the importance of reducing, recycling, and reusing projects. We will end the month in space! Please
remember to check your child’s cubby for extra clothing & to label all items brought form home! We also
include special notes and reminders in your child’s art folders—so, don’t forget to check those weekly!
Room 2 – Spring has arrived! We will begin the month of April by learning all about bunnies and
decorating our own baskets. Then, we will make kites and explore the things in the sky that fly, including
airplanes and birds. Next, we’ll focus on pond life by making lily pads. At the end of the month, we’ll
learn about keeping our Earth clean and healthy! Moms and Dads, don’t forget to check your children’s
art folders for masterpieces!
Room 3 – We will make bunnies, baskets, and decorate eggs in the beginning of the month for our
special Egg Hunt! We will then officially kick-off April by learning about things that fly in the sky before
learning about pond life and how we can be good to our Earth. We will make birds, kites, airplanes,
frogs, lily pads, and recycled art projects, too. Parents, please check your child’s art folder at the end of
each day to take home the wonderful creations they have made!
Room 4 – We would like to wish a big “THANK YOU” to all of our families who helped with our St.
Patrick’s Day Party! That sneaky leprechaun got away…again! This month, we look forward to exploring
pond life, as well as things that fly in the sky. We will learn about recycling and how we can take care of
our earth. Be sure to bring in your recyclables for our recycling robot to eat!
Jr. Kindergarten – The children have been eagerly counting down until we are finished with the entire
alphabet and—hooray!—we did it! We will still continue to review our numbers and letters daily and to
add additional sight words to our repertoire. We will also begin word blending and learning about word
families such as “at,” “am,” and “it.” Our Jr. K themes will focus all around the spring season. We will
plant flowers, study eggs, birds, and Earth Day!
