What days of the week are classes?
What does full-time mean?
Usually classes meet Monday, Wednesday
and Friday OR Tuesday and Thursday. There are
many evening classes that meet only one day a
week. There are also weekend classes available.
You are considered a full-time
student when you are taking at least 12
credits.
What day is R?
R stands for Thursday; M=Monday,
T=Tuesday,
W=Wednesday,
F=Friday,
S=Saturday, U=Sunday. If a class meets on TR
that means the course meets on Tuesday and
Thursday.
What is the length of classes?
Classes that are worth 3 credits that meet on
MWF normally meet for 50 minutes each day for
15 weeks during a typical Fall or Spring term.
Classes that are worth 3 credits that meet on TR
normally meet for 1 hour and 15 minutes during a
typical Fall or Spring term. Classes with fewer or
more credits would meet less or more time, as the
credits would indicate.
What is GPA?
GPA stands for grade point average. Your
GPA can be calculated by dividing your quality
points by your GPA (credit) hours.
What are Quality Points?
Quality points are assigned to your
completed courses according to the grade you
receive. For example, an “A” grade is worth 4
quality points per credit. If you have a 3-credit
course in which you receive an “A,” your quality
points would be 12. Dividing 12 (quality points)
by 3 (credits)=4.00 (GPA.) Quality points for
other grades are:
A= 4 per credit
B= 3 per credit
C= 2 per credit
D= 1 per credit
F= 0
Do I need to see my Advisor each
semester?
YOU MAY NEED YOUR ADVISOR’S
SIGNATURE TO REGISTER. If you plan
to register using HACCWeb, you will be
prompted to enter an advisor code. You may
OBTAIN YOUR ADVISOR CODE
FROM YOUR ADVISOR when you meet
with them to schedule your classes. Be sure
to ask your advisor about your advising
code when you speak with them!

How will I know where and when to
go to class?
After you register for classes you
will receive a printout of your classes. The
printout will list the days, times and
locations of your classes as well as starting
date.
How do I find out my mid-term and
final grades for courses?
Grades are available through HACC
Web. You can access your grades through
the same way that you registered for classes
using HACC Web.
Go to http//www.hacc.edu and select
HACC Web. Be certain you remember your
User ID and PIN that you created for
yourself at the New Student Advising &
Registration Session!
