Early Years Nursery Ltd was established in January 2002 and currently
operates from two settings. We are OFSTED approved and follow the Early
Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as guided by the Department for Education
(DfE). Early Years Nursery is validated by Leicestershire County Council

The nursery has many years of experience. The owner has a BA (Hons) in

nursery teacher holds a PGCE in Primary Education (3-8years) and has

currently working towards a Foundation Degree in Early Years and the two
other nursery managers and team leaders at both settings have a level 3
qualification in childcare. All other staff hold a level 2 and 3 qualification
and attend regular training sessions to continually improve and develop the
standard of childcare we provide.

fundamental in children’s development and work together to support

learning is balanced across all of the areas of learning.
The prime areas of learning are:

Making relationships

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
The EYFS is a framework produced by the DfE which sets standards for
learning and development for children aged from birth to five years. The
EYFS is based upon four principles:
Unique Child - Every child is a unique child who is constantly learning
and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.
Positive Relationships - Children learn to be strong and independent
through positive relationships.
Enabling Environments - Children learn and develop well in enabling
environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual
needs and there is a strong partnership between the key person and
parents and carers.
Learning and Development - Children develop and learn in different
ways. The framework covers the education and care of all children in
early years provision, including children with special educational
needs and difficulties.
