Sentence Caricature (cartoon) Rubric

Sentence Caricature (cartoon)
Students draw an original cartoon-like character that relates to one of the four sentence types or to the
different punctuation marks that accompany the four kinds of sentences. For example, a figure
representing exclamatory sentences might have hair that stands on end. His eyes and mouth could be
wide open and O- shaped. On his chest he might have a huge heart because he is full of emotion!
Name the caricature. Write the definition of the sentence type and write five sentences that are
examples of that type of sentence.
