Congratulations!
Congratulations to the following Jr. Jays Club members who are the lucky recipients of Starting
Lineup spots and received the opportunity to throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch.
Thanks to 8-year-old Owen who joined us on July 2 as a member of our Starting Lineup. He is
currently in his fourth season of playing with East York Baseball, and loves to watch the Blue Jays
play the game he loves! Some of Owen’s fondest memories at Rogers Centre include celebrating
his birthday with his mom, dad and six of his closest friends watching the Blue Jays and also
experiencing an exciting ALCS game in 2015.
Congratulations to 9-year-old Sadie from Toronto, ON who threw out the Ceremonial First Pitch
on July 2. Sadie loves sports especially baseball and hockey and she was recently the youngest
student to be named Athlete of the Year at her school! She loves the Blue Jays because they are
exciting and fun and her favourite players are Russell Martin and Kevin Pillar. Way to go, Sadie!
We are happy to announce that 9-year-old Lucy from Whitby, ON will be joining us as a member of
the Starting Lineup on July 9. Lucy loves watching the Blue Jays, especially her favourite player
Jose Bautista, because they hit so many home runs. Baseball is her favourite sport because she
gets to play it with her dad! Lucy has been a member of the Jr. Jays Club for many years and
especially loves her Blue Jays Sunglasses from the 2016 membership kit. Congrats Lucy!!
