Less technically, energy is the stuff that stuff has that allows stuff to do stuff to other stuff. Without this stuff, stuff can‘t do stuff to other stuff. It is measured in units of Joules. Kinetic energy (KE) is the energy of motion and is possessed by moving objects. The amount of kinetic energy a moving object possesses depends on its mass and velocity.
