The Chamber under its on-going management development programme organised a 4 day training
course on "Effective Customer Relationship Management" during the 23rd -27th December, 2001.
8th - 18th September, 2001
The Chamber under its management development programme organised the second semester classes of
the One Year international Business Programme (IBP) offered by the Indian Institute of Management
Calcutta (IIMC) in association with the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka, during

26th August
A Chamber delegation headed by the President met the Chief Adviser of Care-taker Government on the
26th August 2001 and submitted several proposals relating to the economy.

Management Development Programme
The Chamber under its on-going management development programme, organised a 4 half-day training
programme on “Effective Performance Appraisal” on 26-29 August, 2001 which was attended by 20
participants from different member organisations.
February 9, 2001
The Chamber organized the visit in Bangladesh of Mrs. Merve Celebi of Izmir Chamber of Commerce,
Turkey, during 4-9 February, 2001.
January 16, 2001
The Chamber organized a half-day discussion meeting on World Trade Organization (WTO) and the
issues arising from its programmes for phasing out of tariff and non-tariff barriers by January 1, 2005.
Mr. Muchkund Dubey, former Permanent Representative of India to the WTO was the Guest Speaker.
Mr. M. A. Jalil, Minister for Commerce inaugurated the Meeting.
