She obtained her Masters of Business Administration with a specialization in Sport Management from Florida Atlantic University. Prior to joining USA Triathlon, she was the Event Coordinator at the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. She has also spent time at the Orange Bowl Committee working in the Ambassador Program and Human Resources Departments, served as a Marketing Associate with FAU Athletics, and was a part of the in-game entertainment coordinating staff for the Miami Dolphins. Race Director Certification 2016 Duathlon Race Series Event Application USA Triathlon is accepting applications for the 2016 Duathlon Race Series. ten events are chosen and represent all ten membership regions. Contact us for your medallion and award needs today at www.ashworthawards.com! 2016 Race Director Symposium Registration Opens Tuesday, Sept. 1 USA Triathlon Race Director Symposium is the industry leading opportunity for race directors to meet and network with peers across the country, engage with the USA Triathlon staff, speak one-on-one with the risk management team from ESIX and interact with regional, national and industry trend-setters. Become current on a host of issues and trends facing the multisport industry. Key topics include State of the Sport with CEO Rob Urbach, youth event execution and profitability challenges, paratriathlon inclusion, safety and liability case studies that drive event management decision-making, honoring Century Club Race Directors and much more. Registration and lodging at our host location includes breakfast, lunch and breaks on all three days as well as The Friday Night Welcome Reception presented by Active, the 5k Fun Run/Walk presented by SweatVac on Saturday morning, and the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame Banquet dinner on Saturday evening. All meetings and activities will take place at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort and Country Club in Colorado Springs, CO. Packet pick-up will be Thursday, Jan. 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Race directors registering for both Certification and Symposium will receive a $25 discount. Certified race directors will receive 8 CEUs for attending all three days of the symposium. Certified race directors will receive two additional CEUs for participating in the regional focused session on Saturday afternoon. Post-Race materials must be time stamped or post marked within 15 business days of the event or the last day of the clinic. Events and clinics are subject to a post race late fee of $200 and future sanctioning requests will be declined if this deadline is missed. 2. F. The swim safety report is required for all events and clinics that have a swim component. The Event Reporting Tool is located within the sanction application. 3. A. Second Annual Medical Multisport Conference USA Triathlon is excited to announce registration is open for the second Medical Multisport Conference set for November 5-7, 2015 at the Olympic Training Center (OTC) in Colorado Springs, CO. Thursday will kick off with a special giveaway, a presentation in the afternoon, and a meet-and-greet dinner in the Hall of Fame at the OTC. Legendary IRONMAN physician Dr. Bob Laird will serve as the keynote speaker on Friday. There is limited space available to stay at the OTC during the conference and enjoy unlimited meals in the dining hall. Back by popular demand, a swim workout will be offered on Friday morning. CMEs will be offered for physicians, nurses, athletic trainers, and physical therapists. Certified coaches and race directors receive CEUs for attending. Click here for additional details and registration. 2015 Race Director Level 1 & Youth Certification Classes Race Director Certification is offered regionally. Each class costs $450 unless otherwise noted and includes all course materials. Classes are limited to 20 people. 2015 will feature the same certification requirements as 2014. Prior to certification, candidates must complete an online background check. Race director certification candidates must pass a criminal history check through the NCSI background check application in order to attend a Level 1 Race Director Certification clinic and become certified. Additional information specific to each certification class and the online background check is available on the USA Triathlon website.
