This guide is designed to be a quick reference for users seeking detailed
information on available mounting options for Verint’s S5503PTZ IP PTZ line.
This guide will provide charts showing all possible mounting combinations for
each of the main three types of PTZ found in the S5503PTZ:
• 18X Recess Mount (Indoor Only)
• 28X Pendant Mount (Indoor/Outdoor)
• 36X Pendant Mount (Indoor/Outdoor)
For each archetype above, this guide will provide a chart showing what is
needed to mount your PTZ into each of its possible configurations. Following
the chart are detailed dimension drawings of all three camera types and all
associated mounting kits.

The Verint S5503PTZ-18X Recess Mount IP PTZ is a standard definition (VGA) Commercial/Industrial pan-tilt-zoom camera system utilizing H.264 encoding. The 18X is the perfect drop-ceiling
PTZ, suitable for retail, enterprise and casino operations. The 18X is indoor recess mount only, there are no other available mounting options for this model. For other mounting options, please
refer to the 28X and 36X versions of the S5503PTZ. Power supply options for the 18X are shown on page 6 of this guide.

Tools Needed
Please refer to the installation manual that comes with each camera for specific
information on tools. As a general rule, the following tools are required for installing
Verint or other IP cameras:
The drawings that follow are also available upon request in both PDF and DWG form.
Please contact your local Verint sales manager or Verint Customer Service if you
would like these drawings.
• Drill with varying diameter drill bits and hole saws. Extra long drill bits
(1 meter or longer) as well as specialized masonry bits may also be required

• Security bits to disassemble major camera components required for
installation. An example would be a Security Torx bit set or multi-tool.
Traditional flathead and Phillips head screw drivers may also be required
• Wire Strippers, Wire Cutters and RJ-45 termination tools and testers
• Extra ceiling tile wire to secure camera anchors to the drop ceiling frame
• Canister of compressed air to blow ceiling dust or other dust off of
camera after installation
• Extra mounting hardware (masonry anchors, wall anchors,
ceiling t-bar braces)
