Craft Ideas
• Lavender jewelry - Experiment with weaving fresh
lavender stems into necklaces, bracelets, and
headbands. Secure with tape, glue, or string.
• Picture frames - Purchase an unpainted wooden
picture frame from your local craft store. Paint or
stain the frame in the color of your choice. Gather
dried lavender stems into a bundle and cut one to
two inches off the bottom of the stems. Secure
them with a ribbon. Glue this bouquet to the picture frame with a hot glue gun.
• Shapes on paper - Draw simple shapes such as
stars, hearts, and flowers onto a piece of heavy
card stock. Use a glue stick or clear Elmer’s glue
to fill the shape with dried lavender buds. Cut out
around the shape, punch a hole in the top, and
hang up with string, ribbon, or rafia.
• Baskets - Purchase a basket from your local craft
store or find one from around the house. Weave
fresh lavender stems into the basket for embellishment and fragrance. Dried lavender buds can also
be glued around the top edge of the basket.
