Year 7 Shakespeare Homework
Choose one homework from each column. Your homework will
be marked for effort as well as accuracy. You can choose to do
extra tasks at any time, this shows real dedication and
motivation.
Due: Tuesday 21 April
Create an image or model of Shakespeare’s
Globe theatre.
Watch the clip of Beatrice and Benedick
(Much Ado About Nothing). Choose three of
the insults they use and illustrate them.
Create a poster for the Globe Theatre
advertising one of Shakespeare’s plays. You
will need to include a short summary of the
story – like a blurb.
Due: Tuesday 5 May
Romeo and Juliet meet at a masked
ball. Research and design a mask for
one of them to wear.
Turn your favourite Shakespeare
play into a picture book for preschool children. Think carefully
about the vocabulary and sentence
structure you should use.
Research food in Shakespeare’s
time. Create a menu that could have
been served at The Capulet’s party
(Romeo and Juliet). Try baking one
of the dishes.
Due: Tuesday 19 May
Research Shakespeare’s life. Present
your research however you choose.
Be imaginative.
Research the Globe Theatre. Create
a booklet for visitors to the Globe to
read.
Write a letter to the Principal
persuading her that we should
celebrate Shakespeare’s birthday.
You will need to do some research
so that you can include facts,
statistics and a range of opinions.
