To accompany the petition of Henry G. Wells and others for legislation to provide for discontinuing a part of a public landing in
the Bradford district of the city of Haverhill. Harbors and Public Lands.

AN ACT
To discontinue a part of a Public Landing in the City of
Haverhill.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the
same, as
follows:
Section 1. So much of the public landing at the foot
Ferry street in the Bradford district of said city as is
3 hereinafter described is hereby discontinued as a public
4 highway and landing. Said portion of said landing is

5 bounded and described as follows:
Beginning
at the
6 center of a stone bound standing on the division line be-7 tween the said public landing and land of the Boston and
8 Maine Railroad, near the northerly end of the westerly
9 abutment of the underpass leading from Ferry street to
10 the said public landing; thence running north seventy-six

11 degrees forty-three minutes thirty seconds west by said
12 land of the Boston and Maine Railroad thirty-four and
13 two tenths feet; thence turning and running north seventy-14 eight degrees twenty-six minutes west still by laud of the
15 Boston and Maine Railroad one hundred thirty-four and
16 five tenths feet to land of the Taylor-Goodwin Company;
17 thence turning and running north twelve degrees twenty-18 four minutes east by said land of the Taylor-Goodwin
19 Company one hundred seventy-four and seventy-six one-20 hundredths feet to the harbor line established by acts of
21 the year nineteen hundred and fourteen; thence turning
22 and running south seventy degrees twenty-five minutes
23 forty seconds east one hundred sixty-nine and ninety-six
24 one-hundredths feet by the said harbor line to land of
25 the Taylor-Goodwin Company; thence turning and run-26 ning south twelve degrees twenty-four minutes west hv
27 said land of the Taylor-Goodwin Company one hundred
28 fifty-one and eighty-five one-hundredths feet to the point
29 of beginning.

This act shall take effect upon its passage.
