2. TO ENTER THE CODE
Pressing your cl-digit code (for example 4365), the ‘CODE’ LED is on to
indicate the right code has been entered.
Due to the interdigit time, pressing of the 4-digit code must be completed
within 6 sets (from first to last digit).
3. PANIC BUTTGN DPERATlGN
A panic alarm Is able to be genereted by presskg the ‘**’8 **W symbols
together.
4. TAMPER ALARM
The tamper clrcult is sctivated by the ,moval of the SA-929 from its mounted
position. The tamper circuit used as a ‘normslly M con5. ARM-RELAY GUTPUT

Pulse - Arm-relay functions for a short thne (dspendtng on the kst dtgft
release). suitable for HA29 coutrol psnel
Latch - Arm-relay functkns continuously until next rfght cods Is entared.
sultable for HA2W coutrol panel
6. LED INDICATORS
Three LED indicators are provided for on the front of the SA222A dlsplayfng
Code, Arm, Status. The specific functions of the lndkstors wttl very depending on the security controller that the SAZ23A is controlling. The ‘Arm’and
‘Status’indicators are driven extemalty by the control psnel. The Code
indicator is controlled by the SA229.
7. ‘CODE’ LED (GREEN)
This LED is controkd by the SA228. SA229A. It is on when the right code Is
entered and the Arm-relay functions.
8. ‘ARM’ LED (RED)
Indicates the Armed status of the security control penel, normal& this LED

LED may flash depending on the operation of the panel. The LED has a
current limiting resistor thus no external components for operation.
(Refer to wiring table).
9. ‘STATUS LED (YELLOW)
This provides for a loop indicstkn from the control panel. When the LED is
on this will usually indkste that aft zones and conditions sre We. The LEO
has a current limiting resistor thus no extemel c -b-w-*

10. INTERNAL BEEPER
This provides an audible indication each time a keystrohe is enterad, the
User knowing that the key hss been pressed.
