Week 6 Patitos Newsletter
The Morning Experience
The Afternoon Experience
The Patitos played with and explored leaves!
We talked about their colors, shapes, and the
sound they make when you crunch dry leaves.
In circle time, we looked at a book that
showed different ways of playing with leaves.
We pretended to be tall trees and sang a song
about leaves falling down. The construction on
Lillard Drive provided us with a mini field-trip
opportunity to watch various construction
trucks. The Patitos were very excited and
talked about the trucks and all the noises and
movements they made!
In the afternoon last week, we explored the
seasons changing again! We used our dot
markers to make "leaves" on trees made out of
brown construction paper. We talked about
what we wear when it is cold outside. We
named sweatshirts, boots, hats, gloves, and
scarves as items we wear when is cold.
Teacher Michelle and I gave the students
paper and paint and asked them "what do
YOU were when it is cold?" One of the
students replied "orange." We will continue to
explore autumn in the following weeks.

Spanish Emergent Experience
In class we talked about hojas (leaves) and continued to talk about the colors of Fall. We also
danced to various songs including “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes” in Spanish and “El Baile de
las Manos”. In Spanish Music Specialty we continued to sing songs in Spanish and move our hands
and bodies arriba (up) and abajo (down) for different music notes.
