Water helps to remove toxins from the body. Check that the colour of your wee is a pale straw colour, which will indicate that you are well hydrated. 2 3 Aim to have 2-3 portions of fish per week Ideally 1-2 portions to be an oily fish. Fish is a great source of protein and oily fish contains essential fatty acids that when eaten in small quantities can lower cholesterol. 4 5 Do not add extra salt to your food This is good advice unless you engage in very high intensity physical activity on a regular basis. Enough salt can be found in the food that we eat anyway.
